The Most Powerful Course in College

At College, to complete your intended degree, you need to complete a plethora of different courses that are interconnected. Although all of these courses are necessary for you to receive your diploma, there's still one course that is the most powerful of them all.

It is the integrated approach to Networking, and it's present in every social interaction especially, group projects.

Almost everyone I've ever known hated group projects with a passion. It's always the same formula, the one person who does most of the work, the one person who does some of the group work but not nearly as much as the first person, the one who barely does anything at all, and the one who criticizes everything and yet does nothing to change it. It's a recipe to stress you out to the point where you develop that pulsating vein on your forehead and the few stress hairs.

Although the goal is to receive an A in the course despite these challenges, the ultimate goal is working with different people, forming a thriving group, and gaining lifelong connections at the end of it. This most likely may not be the case for many individuals as it's part of their learning experience.

Many people get tunnel vision when they're in a group activity as their main focus is achieving a good grade and moving on to the next course. For many, group work activity is 60% finishing the project and 40% working with the people to complete the project. That 40% is especially challenging when you're working with impossible people. It's the part where you have to be mindful of coordinating tasks, resolving group issues, presentation tactics, and presenting a well-polished project.

A keen focus on that 40% helps strengthen your ability to negotiate, strategize plans and resolve conflict with a group or individual. It is these skills that help elevate your career.
